‘Wrecked’ Season 2 Confirmed at TBS
A first season of a single-camera comedy series “Wrecked” kicked off on June 14, 2016, and its debut drew 1.64 million viewers. The TV series is created by Jordan Shipley and Justin Shipley, who also serve as executive producers. Obviously, numerous fans are eager to know, should we expect “Wrecked” Season 2 on TBS or not? According to Metacritic, the first season of the series has a score of 56 out of 100 based on 11 reviews from critics, whereas the audience rated the series at 5.3 out of 10 based on 4 user ratings. At the same time, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the comedy series has an average score of 4 out of 10 and a 56% approval rating based on 9 reviews from critics, while the viewers rated the first series at 4.3 out of 5 with a 83% approval rating based on 16 votes. At the moment, according to IMDB, “Wrecked” has a score of 6.9 out of 10 based on 163 user votes, 1 review from viewers, and 2 reviews from critics. The Pilot directed by James Griffiths drew 1.64 million viewers, while a sophomore episode garnered 1.21 million viewers.
“‘Wrecked’ is currently reaching a multiplatform audience of 5.2 million viewers across TBS’s linear, VOD, digital and mobile. It ranks among cable’s Top 25 scripted series for the year-to-date and is the #1 new cable comedy based on Live + 7 delivery of adults 18-49,” according to the official announcement.
“Wrecked” is a story of a group of strangers that managed to survive after a plane crash. Now they’re forced to face numerous problems, taking into account that most of them were caused by themselves. Moreover, their new life, on a distant desert island, doesn’t seem so much comfortable without WI-Fi, Facebook, video games, and other benefits of civilization to which they’re accustomed.
Season 2 Release Date
“Wrecked” Season 1 debuted this June, and its debut has garnered 1.64 million viewers, but has received mixed reviews from critics and the audience. Despite the mixed reception, on July 6, 2016, TBS has picked up “Wrecked” for a sophomore season. “Wrecked” Season 2 will consist of ten episodes, and its premiere is slated for early 2017.
