Amazon Launches ‘Patriot’ Season 1 on Feb 24, 2017 on Prime Video
On Jan 27, 2017, Amazon announced that its brand new original dramatic series “Patriot” kicks off on Friday, February 24, 2017 only on Prime Video online streaming service in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia, as well as Germany. “Patriot” describe the difficult life of intelligence officer John Tavner (Michael Dorman).
Tavner’s most recent mission was to impede Iran from going nuclear, “requiring him to forgo all safety nets and assume a perilous ‘non-official cover’–that of a mid-level employee at a Midwestern industrial piping firm,” according to Amazon. However, his confrontation with PTSD, “the Federal government’s incompetence, as well as the complexity of a day job in the “front” industrial piping company cause a barrage of ever-escalating fiascos that jeopardize Tavner’s mission.” The web series is executive produced by Steven Conrad, who also serves as scriptwriter and director of the drama series.
“Patriot” was conceived as a web series, which lifts the veil of the little-known profession of an intelligence officer and describes the hidden world with high stakes, which is full of conspiracy and danger, where the future of the world frequently depend on the right (or wrong) decision of one man.
