‘Outsiders’ is being cancelled; No Season 3
“Outsiders” kicked off its sophomore season, showing a slight drop of the viewing audience (-11.66%), garnering a little less than a million viewers, as well as expected acclaim of the target audience. Most of you are likely wondering whether or not we’ll see another season of “Outsiders” on WGN America, and if this will happen, when will its release date?
We estimate the odds on renewal as quite possible, given the pretty strong statistics of the current season of “Outsiders.” Currently, according to IMDb, “Outsiders” has a score of 7.6/10 based on 4,400 user votes. At the same time, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the second season of “Outsiders” has an average score of 4/5 and a 100% approval rating among the viewers. The premiere of the second season of “Outsiders” has drawn 0.932 million viewers (-11.66% compared to the previous season’s debut) with a 0.27 demo rating (-18.18%) among adults (18-49).
In Season 2 of “Outsiders,” the conflict between the clan and the town is continuing to escalate, hereupon the Farrells found themselves more isolated than ever before. The temporary truce has apparently come to an end. Thus, the Farrells will be forced to face with the new challenges in the second season of “Outsiders.” The TV series is created by Peter Mattei, who also serves as executive producer.
“Outsiders” Season 2 was launched on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 9|8c on WGN America, and its debut drew 0.932 million viewers, as well as has been praised by critics and viewers as expected. Despite the successful launch of a second season, WGN decided to cancel “Outsiders.”
