‘Impastor’ Season 2 Release Date Updated
“Impastor” is a comedy series that premiered on July 15, 2015, on TV Land. The TV series follows the life of a guy, who, in an attempting to escape the creditors hid himself in a small town and passed himself off as a pastor. The TV series is created by Christopher Vane, who also serves as executive producer.
The comedy series has received mixed reviews from critics, but has been praised by the viewers. Thus the show has a score of 49 out of 100 on Metacritic, based on 18 reviews, while the audience rated the series at 6.7 out of 10, according to 19 ratings. On Rotten Tomatoes, the TV series has a 33% approval rating, with an average rating of 4.5 out of 10, whereas the audience rated the series at 4.4 out of 5, with a 89% approval rating. The pilot episode of the TV series titled “Genesis” drew 1.15 million viewers. On August 31, 2015 TV Land renewed “Impastor” for a second season.
The storyline revolves around Buddy Dobbs (Michael Rosenbaum), a gambler, who owed a huge amount of money and thus the loan sharks pursue him. He had no idea, except to lay hands on oneself. However, fortune smiled on him, and as a result of circumstances he found himself in a small country town where he passed himself off as a pastor.

UPDATE (June 22, 2016): ‘Impastor’ Season 2 premiere date has been shifted to this fall. According to the ‘Impastor’ official Twitter page, the comedy series has finally obtained its new release date, and thus ‘Impastor’ will come back for a second season on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 10:30pm, on TV Land.
