‘Deadbeat’ is being cancelled – No Season 4

'Deadbeat' Season 4 release date; cancelled

A third season of a Hulu original supernatural comedy series “Deadbeat” kicked off on April 20, 2016, and its debut has received an average reception by critics and viewers. However, yesterday, Hulu made a decision to cancel the comedy series after mere 3 seasons. By the way, unlike television networks, the decision on cancellation doesn’t mean the removal of the series from the online stream. All three seasons of “Deadbeat” will remain on Hulu for many years.

Honestly, the decision on cancellation turned out a surprise for us, taking into account that “Deadbeat” was an absolute hit among the Hulu’s audience. At the moment, according to IMDB, “Deadbeat” has a score of 7.6 out of 10 based on almost 3,000 user votes, 24 reviews from viewers, and 3 reviews from critics. At the same time, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the third season of the series has an average score of 3.1 out of 5 with a 44% approval rating based on 9 user ratings. And, unfortunately, this indicator is incredibly low in comparison with the previous seasons.

“Deadbeat” is a story about a seemingly ordinary, but quite lazy guy, who, however, possesses a natural gift to talk to dead people. Using this advantage, he decided to earn some cash by consulting various ghosts and their relatives on the subject of their common unsolved issues.

About Season 4

“Deadbeat” Season 3 debuted this April on Hulu, but its debut hasn’t impressed neither critics nor viewers. On June 5, 2016, Hulu has decided not to continue the comedy series, and thus has cancelled “Deadbeat” after just 3 seasons. Therefore, “Deadbeat” is being officially cancelled, without any chances for Season 4, unfortunately.
