Meanwhile, according to Metacritic, the first season of “Lucifer” has a score of 49 out of 100 based on 24 reviews from critics, whereas the viewers have rated the crime drama series at 7.7 out of 10 based on 235 user ratings.
The premiere of Season 1 has drawn 7.156 million viewers with a 2.43 demo rating among adult (18-49), while a finale of the series has attracted 3.888 million viewers with a 1.29 demo rating among adults (18-49). Season 1 averages 4.562 million viewers.
“Lucifer” revolves around a bored Satan, who left his throne in order to settle in a modern LA, where he founded a night club. After the tragic incident happened at the doorstep of his institution, he decides to assist an LAPD detective in order to track down and punishing of guilty. Meanwhile, Lucifer is forced to deal with his brother angel who intends to return him back in Hell. The TV series is created by Tom Kapinos, who also serves as executive producer.
On June 21, 2016, it was announced that Battlestar Galactica alumna Tricia Helfer would join “Lucifer” Season 2 as the devil’s Mom. On June 23, 2016, it was revealed that Aimee Garcia will appear as a new series regular in Season 2 of “Lucifer.” On August 8, 2016, FOX revealed that “The Sopranos” star Michael Imperioli will play the angel Uriel in the sophomore season of the crime drama series “Lucifer.”
