‘Game of Silence’ Cancelled and Won’t Return For Season 2
“Game of Silence” is a crime drama TV series that debuted on April 12, 2016, on NBC. Inspired by the eponymous Turkish drama series, the thriller depicts a story of five friends whose common secret has suddenly reemerged, 25 years later. The TV series is created by Pınar Bulut and executive produced by Carol Mendelsohn, David Hudgins, Julie Weitz.
The crime drama has received mixed reviews from both critics and viewers. According to Metacritic, the thriller has a score of 58 out of 100 based on 21 reviews from critics, whereas the audience rated the drama series at 5.9 out of 10 based on 12 user ratings. At the same moment, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the crime drama has a score of 5.9 out of 10 and a 41% approval rating based on 22 reviews from critics, while the viewers rated the thriller series at 3.7 out of 5 with a 66% approval rating based on 8 reviews from viewers. At the moment, according to IMDB, the crime drama has a score of 7.3 out of 10 based on 166 user votes and 2 reviews from critics. The Pilot directed by Niels Arden Oplev drew 6.41 million viewers.
“Game of Silence” Summary
A storyline centers around a brilliant attorney Jackson Brooks whose life has radically changed after his childhood friends unexpectedly reappeared in his field of vision. His pals kept the common secret which is able to ruin Jackson’s life. 25 years ago the guys were the best friends who grew up in the small town of Dalton, Texas. However, one day of their life they will remember forever. Now the nightmare from the past has reappeared once again. It’s worth mention that the storyline of the series is based on the true story of children who were sentenced in absentia to nine years in prison.

UPDATE (May 13, 2016): Just a few minutes ago, NBC has announced the cancellation of the crime drama series “Game of Silence.” As usual, the decision was made due to low rating of the freshmen thriller. Indeed, the numbers were not impressive. The Pilot drew 6.41 million viewers, whereas already fifth episode gained mere 3.26 million viewers. All in all, this is the official announcement, “Game of Silence” is being cancelled without any chance for Season 2.
