'Feed the Beast' Season 2 Release Date

A first season of a crime drama “Feed the Beast” kicked off June 5, 2016, on AMC. This is a story of two best friends who intend to fulfill a common dream and to open an upscale restaurant in the Bronx, while one of them found himself in big trouble. The TV series is created by Clyde Phillips, who also serves as executive producer. Unfortunately, on September 2, 2016, AMC decided to cancel “Feed The Beast” after just one season. The decision was made due to weak television ratings. The premiere of Season 1 has drawn mere 0.976 million viewers with a 0.31 demo rating among adults (18-49), whereas a finale of the series has gained just 0.406 million viewers with a 0.11 demo rating among adults (18-49).

It’s worth mentioning that the crime drama has received mixed reviews from critics, but has been praised by the audience, in general. According to Metacritic, the drama series has a score of 46 out of 100 based on 33 reviews from critics, while the viewers rated the first season of the crime drama at 7.4 out of 10 based on 16 ratings. At the same time, according to Rotten Tomatoes, the crime drama has an average score of 5.1 out of 10 and a 23% approval rating based on 39 reviews from critics, whereas the audience rated the series at 3.4 out of 5 with a 65% approval rating based on 34 reviews from viewers. At the moment, according to IMDB, “Feed the Beast” has a score of 6.9 out of 10 based on 1,700 user votes, 22 review from viewers, and 4 reviews from critics.

“Feed the Beast” centers around Dion and Tommy, two good guys, who are inspired to establish their own upscale dining restaurant in the Bronx. Dion has a complicated relationship with the local Mob, whereas Tommy is usually trying to help him to get out of troubles. Their common business is able to provide an opportunity for each of them to solve their problems. For Tommy, it’s an opportunity to provide his son the life he dreamed about, whereas for Dion, it’s a chance to repay his debt to the Mob. Thus, the series depicts two best friends who feel themselves like brothers and are trying to overcome any obstacles on the way in order to reach the goal.

Cancellation

“Feed the Beast” Season 1 kicked off June 5, 2016, and its debut has been praised by the viewers, but had not impressed critics. We regarded the crime drama series quite fresh and original in a certain sense. However, AMC has made a decision to cancel “Feed the Beast” without any chances for Season 2. “Feed the Beast” is being cancelled, unfortunately.
